I picked this up because I was tired of my mulch ending up everywhere every time we got wind or rain—and it actually worked. It's a good value for the money, especially since you are mixing this with water. It mixes really well, no clumps or anything, and my sprayer made it easy to apply without making a mess. Once it dried, it did a great job of keeping everything in place. My mulch finally stays where I put it instead of blowing all over the yard.Don’t panic when you first spray it and see that blue color—that’s actually helpful. It lets you see exactly where you’ve already sprayed, so you don’t miss spots.I also like that it’s non-toxic since I’ve got dogs, but I still waited until the next day before letting them back around it just to be safe. For me, it’s been worth it just to not have to constantly fix my beds. Definitely something I’ll keep using.
It came with instructions and also with a pair of gloves, the instructions aren’t that clear what exactly how much water to glue ratio you need to use but I’m sure that I will figure it out. This is a 32 ounce bottle which is still smaller depending on your size jar, you might have to get more than one of these, but I am sick of gravel traveling throughout my yard. It’s a pain, especially when cutting grass that you come across those rock pedals.
I hate trimming, so I borderlined my house with rock. About 1 foot wide all around. Problem solved. But the wheels of the mower push the rock sometimes. Not a problem any more.I've tried multiple brands of glues. Big box store glues can cost 2-3 times more! (And weren't any better) This one works. This does allow water to pass through, so make sure you have a weed barrier under your rock, because weeds can still grow up through it.For about a gallon of glue, this one is the most cost effective glue that I've found.
This is my third time ordering this product. I'm very pleased with the results so far but am trying it on a much larger space this time that gets a little more wear than the border that I was previously using this far. This type requires dilution to spray adequately from your average garden pump type sprayer. This seems to work as well as the others. All of these solutions are temporary and need to re-applied about once a year or more frequently. However, at this price and since application is extremely easy with a typical garden sprayer then this more than an acceptable substitution. This needs to be applied during warmer and drier weather for best results with about 12-24 hours’ worth of drying time before being walked on.For best results apply, and if your stones are already down, then apply at about 3 times the rate the manufacturer recommends. This will allow the solution to sink below the top surface level. This would work best as a mixture (like concrete) if applied and mixed with the gravel before the gravel is put in place.
he mulch glue is a great option for securing your landscaping including mulch and small stone or pea gravel. The container spreads far and holds strong. It appears to be fairly water resistant. I live in an area with a lot of rain and the glue is holding strong.I liked the detailed instructions on application methods, conditions, and and the various uses. For the price, this is a great pickup for anyone who is tired of their mulch in the grass or on the driveway.
Looking to create a path from the side door to the driveway, I needed rock glue to help hold the rocks and stones in place. Searching for the right glue so the rocks, both big and small, would adequately fit within the mulch and dirt while staying in place for long term use.The Rock Glue for Landscaping has a very strong bond and can even hold mulch in place. After reading the instructions and trying it in a small area, I felt very comfortable using it for my pathway. While I did go very slow and placed rocks, stones and dirt as I felt was appropriate, it only took me an afternoon for the entire project. I started in the morning so it had sun for half a day, covered it at night (to avoid moisture) and allowed it sun for a second day. This allowed the glue to cure and offer a strong bond. It also kept the kids off the path until it was completely dry. Once the process was complete, I carefully looked at the rocks and materials to find them stuck strong in place.I'm extremely happy about the results of the rock glue as it was a quality product and did as expected. It was at a fair price point and definitely helped me create a beautiful path on the side of the house. I'd definitely recommend this product to others.
I have never heard of rock glue for the garden - just saying, so I was interested to see how this really works. Unfortunately, I can’t use the product right now, because I am under a mound of snow that probably won’t melt until spring. But wait…. I have some pebbles in my studio, so I conducted a little test to see if this stuff really holds.I put a few rocks on a piece of freezer paper. I used freezer paper to keep the glue from soaking through like it may have with using wax paper or something without a coating. I put the pebbles down close together and mixed a small bit of the rock glue with a tiny bit of water, and sprayed it over the pebbles. They actually did stick together. The glue dries clear and pretty quickly. This has me very excited as I am putting in a stone pathway to my gazebo this spring and this glue is going to help keep the smaller rocks in place. I hope this holds up through a season of snow as well, so that my walkway will stay in place. It looks as if it can withstand some weather, but I will probably have to reapply a small amount after the winter which is not a huge problem.Overall, this is a really good product, reasonably priced, and I am giving it 4 stars explained below. My Stars Explained5 - Like finding money in your old coat pocket - pure joy!4 - Almost perfect - like a pizza with just one missing topping.3 - Like a movie that’s just okay—neither a blockbuster nor a total flop2 - Like a blind date that went horribly wrong - cringeworthy.1 - Like stepping on a Lego in the dark - painful.
I'm a big fan of mulch and rock glue. It helps keep gravel and mulch where they're supposed to be. And in the case of mulch, it helps prevent weeds too. However, I have had terrible experiences with mulch glue in the past. They would clog up my sprayers no matter how well I mixed the solution. I've tried multiple sprayers, and they all get gunked up. So I wasn't overly hopeful that the Rock Glue for Landscaping from the Shabebe Store would be any better. This product is noticeably different right away. First, the blue color was surprising but extremely helpful. It lets you see exactly where you've applied the glue. Second, this glue was much better about not clogging up my sprayer. I still did have to unclog it once or twice, but nowhere near the level of the other mulch glues I have tried. Recommended.
Diluted 50/50 with water and it makes a very durable bond. One of the best glues I have use for gravel pathways.
Shabebe’s rock glue worked out even better than I expected. Going into it, I had two main concerns—the color and whether it would clog up my sprayer afterward. Thankfully, neither ended up being an issue. After applying it to my large landscaping bed, I was genuinely impressed with the results. The bluish tint actually turned out to be a big advantage because it helps you see where you’ve already applied it, preventing overcoating and helping stretch the coverage further than you’d think.Cleanup was also straightforward. I just cleaned my sprayer the same way I would after using weed killer, and it was ready to go for future use—nothing complicated at all.Once you mix it to your desired consistency, the application process is simple. Just follow the directions and get to work. I’d definitely recommend planning for a couple of dry days with no rain in the forecast and trying to keep debris from blowing into the area while it sets.Overall, I’m very happy with how it turned out. No more dealing with mulch or pebbles getting scattered after heavy rain. This is an easy 5 out of 5 for me.
We have two smaller areas of pea gravel that I’m using this rock glue on and I very much wish I had tried this type of glue before. The glue is easy to apply (mix equal parts glue and water in my little garden sprayer thingy, spray a patch of gravel that has been painstakingly cleaned of all the little grass and leaves, mix that up, even it out, spray the area again, then leave it alone) and offers complete coverage. I can’t attest to drying time because I forgot about it and didn’t check it until a couple of days after application but it was dry then (sorry, I know that’s not extremely helpful). The adhesiveness is effective, the glue seems to be of high quality (I mean, I’m by no means an expert but it works and it doesn’t clog my sprayer) and most importantly it looks good. I’ve always been skeptical of this type of rock glue so I’m reserving absolute judgment and will update if anything changes but, for now anyway, I’m a definite fan.
I used this to put a secure top to my small trees I have. I have free range chickens and ducks and well if you know chickens at all they like to pick through anything that you have neat so putting the rocks back a few dozentimes around my dwarf trees I decided to try this. I sprayed this glue onto the rocks around my trees just enough to hold them on place and so far it's working well. They have even started leaving it alone since they cant move the rocks they aren't interested. Good rock glue for a lot of applications. My next spot is the rock area beteeen my patio and my deck.
I’ve used this brand in the past with a different version of their binder and the results were amazing, so I had no hesitation ordering this. It is just now starting to warm up enough for me to get back out into the yard, so I haven't had a chance to apply this specific bottle yet. Based on my previous experience with their products, I know this is going to be high quality and will hold up well against the elements.I’m really looking forward to using this on my landscaping soon. It’s a huge relief to have a reliable way to keep rocks and mulch in place without them shifting around every time it rains or when the dog is running through the garden. This formula seems thick and durable, and the fact that it works for so many different types of stones and mulch makes it a very versatile tool for my outdoor projects. It is a great value for sure!!
I picked this mulch glue up because I was getting tired of constantly fixing my mulch and small rocks after every heavy rain. I figured I’d give this a try before redoing the whole area, and honestly it worked better than I expected. The application was pretty straightforward. I mixed it with water like the instructions said and sprayed it over the mulch and decorative rocks around my garden beds. The blue tint actually helped a lot because I could see where I had already sprayed. Once it dried, it turned clear just like it says. After about a day it set up nicely and everything feels a lot more locked in place. We’ve had some wind and a couple storms since I used it and the mulch hasn’t shifted around nearly as much as it used to. It definitely helps keep things looking neat without having to constantly rake things back into place.I also like that it’s supposed to be safe for plants and pets since my yard gets a lot of traffic. So far I haven’t noticed any issues with the plants around the treated areas.Overall, if you’re tired of mulch or small rocks moving around your landscaping beds, this is a pretty easy solution that actually makes a difference.
If you’re someone who loves great curb appeal but also enjoys a low-effort lifestyle, this rock glue might become your new favorite landscaping product. I’ve always liked using decorative pebbles because they instantly make garden beds look tidy and finished, but keeping them in place used to require way more effort than I wanted to invest. Every rainstorm would scatter them around and undo all the work I had done the previous weekend. After trying this glue I realized the whole problem could be solved in one afternoon. I arranged the rocks how I wanted them, poured the glue over the surface, and spread it out until everything was lightly coated. Once it dried the rocks stayed firmly in place even through storms and windy days. Even with the few spots that kind of flood, the water was still able to sink back into the soil. I love that! My yard now looks neat and polished all the time without me constantly going outside to fix things.
This worked amazingly well for what I needed. I used it to keep a sign up on a cement wall and it held much better than I expected. The adhesive has a strong grip and the quality feels solid once it sets. It’s easy to apply and spreads evenly, so you don’t need a lot to get a good hold. Products like this are often marketed for landscaping uses such as securing mulch or rocks outdoors, which makes sense because it’s designed to hold materials in place and resist the elements.Overall, it performed exactly how I hoped. Strong hold, easy to use, and a really good value for something that solves the problem quickly.
I was pleasantly surprised by how well this rock and mulch glue performed. After applying it and allowing it to cure overnight, I was able to walk on the pebbled area the next day and the rocks did not move at all. The adhesion is significantly stronger than I expected. For coverage, I mixed the glue at approximately a 1.5:1 water-to-glue ratio. To do this, I poured the glue into a watering can, then filled the original glue bottle with water and added that to the watering can. Make sure to reinstall the plastic plug under the cap before shaking or mixing—otherwise, the glue can leak out of the container and create a mess. I also refilled the glue bottle halfway with water a second time and poured that into the watering can to ensure I extracted as much product as possible while achieving my desired mix ratio. When applying with a watering can, it is important to spread the milky solution very lightly. If you apply too heavily, you will not achieve the expected coverage area. Lightly raking the gravel before applying a second coat can also help distribute the solution more evenly. Using a watering can, I was only able to achieve two coats at most.Although the instructions mention that an electric sprayer can be used, I would personally avoid that method. Even when diluted, the product remains quite sticky, and I did not want to risk clogging or damaging a sprayer.According to the product information, annual reapplication may be necessary to maintain adhesion over time. Overall, once cured, this product performs very well, and I am satisfied with the results despite some coverage and application limitations.
I used this to treat the gravel floor of a covered room off our garage where our dog stays when we're away for extended periods. She has access to a small yard for bathroom breaks, but the dry gravel floor was getting dusty and leaving her dirty after time spent out there. I wanted a cleaner surface without the expense of pouring concrete, and this seemed like the right solution.Application was straightforward — the instructions are clear and concise, and the product sprays on easily with a standard 2-gallon hand-pump sprayer. I ended up applying it a bit heavier than ideal; I knew lighter coats are preferable, but a stretch of cold, rainy weather on the Washington coast limited my window and I only had time for one pass. Since the space is covered, I was able to work as long as the gravel itself was dry, which it was.I've used similar stabilizers elsewhere in our yard, so I had a general sense of what to expect. I was particularly relieved that there was no strong odor — an important consideration for a space where my dog spends time. I feel comfortable with her being in the area after curing.Despite the single coat and ongoing humidity, the gravel was firm and walkable within 24–36 hours without any significant displacement underfoot.Bottom line: This product did exactly what I needed — a cleaner, more stable gravel surface without a major investment. Recommended for anyone looking to tame a dusty gravel floor, especially in a covered or semi-enclosed space.
I recently tried out rock glue for some DIY projects, and I am thoroughly impressed! This adhesive is specifically designed for bonding stones and other porous materials, making it perfect for both indoor and outdoor use.One of the standout features of this rock glue is its strong bonding capability. It dries clear and sets quickly, which is ideal for projects where appearance matters. I used it to fix some decorative stone pieces in my garden, and they have held up remarkably well despite varying weather conditions. The application is straight forward, I appreciate that it doesn’t cause a mess, and the consistency is just right—thick enough to stay in place without sagging but fluid enough to spread evenly.Another great aspect is its versatility. Not only can it bond rocks together, but I also used it to attach stones to wood and other materials, proving to be effective across various surfaces. In terms of durability, this glue is excellent. After my projects have had time to cure properly, there have been no signs of peeling or cracking, even under pressure.Overall, I highly recommend rock glue for anyone involved in crafting, landscaping, or home repair. Its strength, ease of use, and clear drying properties make it a reliable choice for all your stone adhesion needs. Whether you’re tackling a small craft or a larger outdoor project, this glue is a must-have in your toolkit!
